New press kit on French gastronomy and art de vivre – out now!

If you ask people what France is best known for, most will reply: its food! We couldn’t agree more – so as part of the #ExploreFrance 2025 campaign, Atout France has developed a third press kit on this most important of subjects. This deep dive into French gastronomy and art de vivre is intended as a source of inspiration for journalists and bloggers who love exploring destinations with their taste buds.

With 739 certified products, 17 wine regions, over 600 Michelin-starred restaurants and hundreds of regional specialities, France offers an exceptional diversity of flavours. And it’s not just about the meals themselves, but the total experience – an exquisitely dressed table, beautifully presented dishes, paired wines, great company and taking the time to connect with each other. In 2010, the ‘French gastronomic meal’ was even recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage.

In this brand-new press kit, you’ll find a culinary tip for each French region. This could be an interesting cooking class or cocktail workshop, a must-visit restaurant or museum, or a particular local product. These are all original ways to discover France’s gastronomic richness. The kit is fully inclusive too, mentioning activities and accommodation that are fully accessible, as well as restaurants that employ staff with learning difficulties.
