From 28 February to 8 March 2015 the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region will start the celebrations of the bicentenary of Napoleon I’s return from the island of Elba and the beginning of his famous second 100-day-reign. The week will feature historical re-enactments along the route, starting from Golfe-Juan to Grenoble. The route is one of France’s most popular tourist routes and later this summer a series of events will mark the bicentenary.
