From June to October 2015, the Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley celebrates the 150th anniversary of the Golden Age of Alpinism. An intense decade of exploration and conquest which culminated in 1865 with 65 first ascents across the Alps including 7 major summits in the Mont-Blanc Massif !
Chamonix pays tribute to the guides, alpinists, artists and photographers of this remarkable period through a rich programme of exhibitions, events and excursions.
