I can’t stop thinking about these jellyfish. What I can’t get my head around is that they are 95% water. How do they not look like cucumbers? 🥒 They are the very first thing you see when you enter the brand new exhibition at @planetenausicaa in Boulogne and you would think it can’t get any better but it does. (I will be writing about it soon.) These jellyfish though. I could have stood in front of their tank for hours. (Only one of the founders of NAUSICAA was showing us around and he was clearly wondering why I was spending quite so long at the first tank. 🙄)

This is how it feels 🙌 ↠ Just 45 short minutes by plane from London with @airfrance , and we were exploring the colourful streets of Rue Cremieux in one of our favourite cities in the world; Paris. ↠ This street is basically like the Notting Hill of the French capital; a quiet row of charming, colourful houses framed by cute shutters, window boxes and lush pot plants that has become seriously instagram famous in recent years – so naturally we had to see it for ourselves… and it definitely didn’t disappoint! ↠ But this is where instagram can also get a little weird; as popular as this Rue Cremieux has become, these houses are still real homes; this street is still a quiet residential thoroughfare. In the quiet of our early morning, shutters began to open, the sound of families getting ready for the day, and the scent of breakfast began to waft through the street. Down by the water…. On a baking hot afternoon in Marseille, France's second largest city, we got lost and found and then lost again within and outwith the confines of Mucem. This public space, gallery, and museum didn't exist until 2013, but already feels like it's added a whole new dimension to a city which is famed for wearing its heart on its sleeve. When you come to Marseille, make time for this. And then make some more time to sit by the water outside, contemplating beauty and enjoying a delicious early evening breeze in the south of France. [AD] If you’ve been watching my Stories (please check them out on my Highlights under “Avignon Guide), I’m currently in Avignon with @avignontourisme and @Francefr. It’s my 3rd visit here in the former Papal state where 7 popes reigned. The first two visits were quick day trips more than a decade ago and I realised that I’d missed out on a lot! The best view by far is definitely from the top of Palais des Papa where you can see the Rhône river which starts from the Swiss Glacier and divides in Arles in the south. #TopFrenchCities

A moody yet beautiful Biarritz 💙 Our first stop in France, located in the beginning of the Basque region with influences from different cultures, so you can just imagine the array and quality of food. (Don't worry, he's probably fine) Pretty much this time last week I was up here on Mont Ventoux enjoying the sunset after a day of cooking, vineyards & hikes-I didn't hike up here though, it's 1,909m high. If you're a Tour de France fan you'll probably recognise the name of this place, it's one of the most gruelling parts of the race. There's been a number of Tour highlights here but the one I most remember is back in 2016 when Chris Froome had to jog about hundred metres up the mountain while he was waiting for a neutral service bike after his own bike was damaged by a motorcyclist. You might think that when the sun isn’t shining in Provence that a vineyard tour might lose its glamour. Fake news my friends. Last Saturday, as the heavens opened and the fog rolled, we jumped in a VW Combi for a vineyard tour with a difference. Piling into our retro camper, we toured the vineyards of Domaine de la Tourade, before sampling some of the delicious local wine. If you’re looking for a wine tasting tour with a difference, @domaine.de.la.tourade are the answer. Although please note, the cheesy grins and colourful umbrellas aren’t included.
