Gastronomy festival in France

22-24 Septembre

Following the inscription of the gastronomic meal of the French to the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2010, France has been celebrating Gastronomy every year since 2011.

For this 7th edition at the heart of the product, from 22 to 24 September 2017, the sponsor Stéphane Layani, President of the Rungis National Interest Market, is waiting for you all over France.

National and festive celebrations, illustrating the richness and diversity of French gastronomy, the Festival of Gastronomy, like the Fête de la Musique, offers a succession of events, all over France, to celebrate its cuisine, its products and tableware. “Its vocation is to bring together, initiate and make people want to cook in a spirit of conviviality, sharing and generosity,” said the Ministry of Tourism. On this occasion, chefs go down to the street to cook, “Special Gastronomy” menus are served …

The public can discover other ways of cooking and sharing new recipes! Every year, this festival is organized around a specific and unifying theme. With values of generosity and conviviality, the Fête de la Gastronomie participates in the sharing and promotion of gastronomy in all its diversity thanks to the organization of thousands of events throughout France.

In 2016, the Fête de la Gastronomie counted 10,525 events in France and abroad, with 2,500,000 visitors and nearly 300,000 professionals involved. Three days dedicated to pleasure, discovery and conviviality! Join in every year in September in all regions of France as well as overseas territories for three days of gluttony!

And here’s what’s on.
